March holds the warm welcome promise of Spring. Warm indeed, our raspberry and rose bushes are showing green shoots and so is the parsley and chives in our herb garden.
Of course green stands most of all for the Irish! Once again, Craggy Island and their friends will enchant us with their annual traditional pre-St. Paddy’s Day concert on Sunday evening, March 13 from 6 to 9pm. Susan asks for a $5 donation at the door which will all go to the cause of Humanely Caring for Feral, Stray and Barn Cats. Please be generous. Susan Withers is a passionate fiddler, and it’s not hard forPatrick Fennig to sound Irish as he is originally from Dublin and so are some of the guest performers – see their poster. Patrick
is also our expert adviser on the Draft Guinness we ‘pour’ at Beans. Ask us about it.
We have perfected our Irish Stew made with tender lamb, onions, parsnips, carrots and potatoes, slowly simmered in stout. Enjoy a bowl with a slice of Belfry made Irish soda bread served at the concert and until March 17 or while supplies last.
