Friday, May 2 –FIRST FRIDAY

John DuRant Sr. and Jr.,  strolling Old World Troubadours will entertain with songs, stories & jokes. Highly skilled singers and lutanists, their repertory stretches from Medieval music to American folk, including colonial American, civil war period, British seafaring tunes and ballads.  The DuRants always delight in engaging with the children in the audience playing favorite interactive songs and musical games.

Steve Gellman, songwriter and poet from Germantown. Gellman's sensitive songcraft incorporates simple but evocative slice-of-life imagery, homespun folk warmth, keen pop instincts, and crisp, first-rate musicianship. His tenor radiates with a choirboy's pristine poise, yet authentically conveys the depth of his themes.  Steven's insightful original songs and homespun stories provide a soul-warming rock respite in a busy, chilly world.

Jazz Brunch with the CG Duo, Charles Wall and Greg Biddle.  The CG Duo ranks among the finest in musical entertainment. Smooth relaxing jazz and great standards from the 40's through today, performed with quality and taste.  Selections from Ramsey Lewis, Kenny G, Dave Koz, Najee, are part of their smooth jazz repertoire.  Keyboards, tenor, soprano saxophones and flute.  Charles and Greg are graduates from Shepherd University Music School.

Todd Coyle,  a very talented and versatile singer/songwriter on guitar and vocals, is heavily influenced by early 70”s “classic folk rock” and delta blues which he has morphed into a homegrown Appalachian style acoustic playing. Todd will be accompanied by Matt Robinson of the Speakeasy Boys and Barry Bryan on bass.
